About Course

The Pharmaceutical Calculations in Marketed Formulations course is designed to build strong practical skills in performing accurate calculations required for safe and effective medication use. The course focuses on real-world scenarios involving marketed dosage forms such as solutions, suspensions, injectables, and IV infusions
Students will learn essential concepts including concentration expressions (mg/mL, % w/v, % w/w, ratio strength), dilution and reconstitution techniques, weight-based dosage calculations, and IV flow rate calculations in mL/hour and drops/minute
Through practical examples and problem-solving exercises, the course helps minimize medication errors, ensure dose accuracy, and improve patient safety. Emphasis is placed on unit conversions, correct formula application (C₁V₁ = C₂V₂), and double-checking calculations as per pharmaceutical standards
This course is ideal for pharmacy students and healthcare professionals aiming to strengthen their competency in pharmaceutical calculations used in clinical and commercial practice.
