Lateral Compartment of Leg
About Course
This course provides a focused understanding of the lateral compartment of the leg, highlighting its muscles and nerve supply. It covers the two main muscles — Peroneus Longus and Peroneus Brevis — including their origin, insertion, nerve supply, and actions.
Special emphasis is given to the superficial peroneal nerve, its root value (L5, S1), course, and sensory distribution.
By the end of this course, learners will understand the anatomical structure and functional role of the lateral compartment, especially its importance in foot eversion and lateral stability.
Ideal for medical and allied health students building strong foundational knowledge in lower limb anatomy.
